Frequently asked questions

What happens in an initial session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and see if we can work well together. You can share what brings you to therapy, and I will explain how I work. There is no obligation to continue if you feel I am not the right fit for you.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy can be short-term (typically 6–12 sessions) focusing on a specific issue, or open-ended to explore deeper, long-standing patterns. Therapy ends when you feel ready — that decision is always yours.

What is Person-Centred Therapy?

Person-centred therapy is built on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than giving advice or analysing you, I provide a non-judgemental, empathetic environment to help you access your own inner resources and make the choices that are right for you.

Do you offer sessions online?

Yes. While I practice face-to-face in Balham, Clapham South and Wimbledon, I also offer online sessions via secure video calls for those who prefer or require remote support.

I am neurodivergent (Autistic/ADHD). How do you adapt your approach?

I strive to provide a neuro-affirming space. This means adapting the environment to your sensory needs, communicating directly, and honouring your lived experience without pathologising it. I understand that miscommunication between neurodivergent and neurotypical people is rarely one-sided — it often comes down to a difference in communication styles, not a deficit on your part.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are payable in full.
